ABOUT US

Tikitiki School, also known as Pae-O-Te-Riri School, caters for Years 1 - 8 students.  A strong feature of the school is the sense of family and whanaungatanga that students and staff display.

Tikitiki school was opened in 1887 as a Maori school. In 1940 the block that is pictured in the photo was opened and named Pae-o-te-riri (Resting place of a war party on the march). The school originally had approximately 300 students. The roll currently sits at 48.
